Key points from guest speaker David Culver of NBC4:
1) "Networking"- Building relationships with people, allowing them to trust you, and being there for them through the tough times. Example, a way to keep a continuous source is to respect their wishes on when to release the information, not to be too aggressive or intrusive with someone you're going to interview (remember to be human), or a way to create relationships in potential employers is to reach out and help them first.
2) How to sell ideas; It must be thoroughly and entirely planned out/organized (budgeted, scripted, scheduled) and connected to a News Peg.
3) When showing interest to potential employer remember to be engaged, enthusiastic and ask questions!
